This was book 15 in the "Pittsburgh Vampires" series. Cole Fairfield is having a bad day his brother Fredric fired him from his job at the family owned business he was thrown out of his apartment and his phone is turned off. He ends up at the Hadden Center sitting alone on a bench. Michael King is a Coven Guard and Soldier for the Hadden Coven. While out patrolling he feels a pull to go inside sitting on a bench is his beloved. This was a pretty good edition to this series. I thought that Cole gave his brother to much control he never stood up for himself his brother was crazy he wanted Cole dead. When Cole gets a call from his friend that helped him Charlie he agrees to give him his research while leaving Walker gives him a ride and all hell breaks out as everyone knows you don't mess with vampire mates. This was a good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. This book was totally riveting with a touch of passion and lots of fierceness. I loved both Cole and Michael and I enjoyed seeing Walker again, the mate of the master vampire, Nik Hadden. He was calm in the face of danger and the trust that he had in his beloved, Nik, was awesome. The ending gave me chills but also put a smile on my face. Cole's brother was full of hatred and obviously knew about paranormals (which he used to kill or bully people) but I'm so glad that he got what was coming to him, especially since he treated Cole with such abuse. I also appreciated Cole's acceptance of the fact that Michael was a vampire and his beloved. Absolutely amazing.
