This is another fabulous book from E.M. Lindsey. Another book I'm left with a deeper understanding of the human spirit. I love how real these characters are. Sage is grieving Ted, his fiancee, and having a hard time letting him go even though it had been several years since his passing. Will finds out his parents, who disowned him, die and name Will his 7 year old sister Molly's guardian. He decides he wants to raise her while he's getting his coffee shop open and dealing with an abusive ex. Sage and Will come together slowly when Sage helps Molly with her math and helps Will with his ex, a couple of times. They are patient with each other and both are able to move on together. I love how some of the previous story finds it's way into this one. It connects and gives them more meaning. This is a wonderful addition to the series and I look forward to reading the next book. I love this book, and the series, and highly recommend it. In this book we get to see Dereks brother Sage and hear his story. He and Derek grew up with a single abusive father, ran away and lived on the streets. What we have also gotten from the other books is that Sage had a fiance that died and he hasn't been able to move on.Wil is the cute guy who own the cafe near the tattoo studio and he hasn't had it easy either. After not following his parents wishes regarding his job he's disowned and finds himself in a verbally abusive relationship.Will has just left his boyfriend and found out that he's left as a guardian for his baby sister when he and Sage becomes friends. And even if there's definitely a spark Sage is terrified of loving again and Wills ex isn't letting go.I really like Sage and Will and it's definitely a slow burn romance.The book deals with a couple of hard topics, but I actually would have preferred a bit more angst and feelings . But for someone who doesn't want a book as heavy as I do it's perfect.
